Customized Battery Pack Chemistry

Battery Expert has the experience and expertise to create custom battery packs for your applications in any chemistry.

· Lithium Ion/Lithium Polymer: This improved chemistry outperforms nickel- and lead-based chemistries. With low self-discharge rates and high discharge current capabilities, lithium-ion (Li-ion) and lithium polymer batteries can give up to 200% of the energy density of NiCd (nickel-cadmium).
· Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery packs provide up to 40% higher energy capacity than NiCd batteries of the same size and, unlike many other chemistries, are simple to recycle. In general, NiMH is one of the most affordable battery chemistries, making it an excellent choice for portable and handheld electronic devices.
· Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries: These batteries use lithium-ion-derived chemistry with higher thermal and chemical stability for improved safety. Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries have a higher discharge rate, longer cycle life, and a slower rate of capacity loss than other lithium-ion chemistries.
· Nickel Cadmium: This well-known battery chemistry can withstand thousands of charge/discharge cycles and can withstand heavy loads. NiCd battery packs charge faster than most other chemistries and may be manufactured in the largest range of cell combinations. This is also one of the most cost-effective battery chemistries available today.
· Lithium Primary: Of all battery types, lithium primary batteries and battery pack assemblies have the highest specific energy (energy per unit weight) and energy density (energy per unit volume). Lithium primary cells are available in a variety of chemistries and are often employed in low-drain applications; however, special high-rate discharge lithium cells are also available.
